Caroline McAllister, Personal Chef, studied baking and pastry making at L'Academie de Cuisine and Culinary School of Washington. Pastry chef at a downtown Frederick restaurant for 18 years also included experience in catering and event planning. Education with the United Stated Personal Chef Association and Culinary Inspirations provide continuing education through 5 years as a personal chef.
How does a Personal Chef Service Work? Using your dietary needs, likes,dislikes, a custom menu plan is prepared and upon your approval, cooking day is scheduled. Shopping for fresh ingredients and meats is completed before arriving with all cooking equipment and supplies. Kitchen space, refrigerator and freezer are all that is needed as entrees and side dishes are prepared and packaged. Simple heating instructions for stovetop, oven, or microwave are included with each dish. Your kitchen is cleaned and left full of delicious aromas of great meals to come! How are special diets handled? Special foods are prepared according to your doctor or dietician's recommendations. Special diets can include allergy sensitivity, nutrition needs, and weight loss diets. Taste and convience can make special diets everyday easy. Are Personal Chefs just for families? Custom prepared meals are for anyone including singles, couples, and families of any size. One time service can be provided for accomodating guests or for vacation meals. Gift certifictes are available for meals for new parents, those recovering from injury or surgery, or to treat someone to custom prepared meals. I live outside of Frederick. Will Ready To Serve! travel? Convenient, custom meals can come to your kitchen in Washington, Carroll, or Montgomery County. Travel fees can accomodate Northern Virginia, Southern Pennsylvania and additional locations.
