Healthy Kitchen is a personal chef service that tailors food service to your tastes. At a free consultation in your home, we'll learn about your likes, dislikes, food allergies, special needs or diets and eating habits. Based on that information, I go to work to create a varied menu of entrees and side dishes personalized for you and your family. After we decide on a cooking date and you approve your menu--clear some space in your refrigerator and freezer for the wonderful meals that will soon fill it up!
On your cooking day, I load all the pots, pans and utensils I'll need for your menu. Then I shop for all the ingredients to prepare those items utilizing only the highest quality fresh produce, meats and seafood. After I arrive at your home, I get set up and prepare all the items on your menu, package them in disposable containers (unless you prefer recyclables) and place them in your refrigerator and freezer. I clean everything up, leaving only the aromas of freshly made food and a master menu that details all your food items along with reheating/cooking instructions. Now you are just minutes away from placing a delicious, healthy meal on the table when its convenient for you.

In addition to the entree service, Healthy Kitchen can also arrange to do cooking lessons, dinner parties or holiday meal preparation in your home.

Chef/Owner Randy Eckstein is a food service veteran with over 30 years of experience. A diverse range of positions including formal dining and banquet work with the Marriott Pavilion Hotel in St. Louis, private club and catering experience with the Media Club as well as work in both chain and independent restaurants. For the past ten years I have been running an executive dining room with organic food preparation. I also have a degree in biology with graduate work including nutrition which allows me to understand and communicate with health professionals who may be involved with your particular dietary regimen. I bring all of this experience to your kitchen with no set agenda--other than to help you to achieve your goals for entree service.
As a husband and father of three active children, I appreciate the time crunch that many families encounter on a daily basis as well as the frustration of dealing with picky eaters. It can often be difficult just to have everyone together to enjoy an evening meal. If you are a busy professional, couple or active retiree, many times its not convenient to cook for just one or two people. Often we slide into eating patterns or habits we KNOW should be better. My job as your personal chef is to discuss your current eating habits and tailor this service to make it easier for you to put a healthy, delicious, restaurant quality meal on your table in minutes.

What do I receive from Healthy Kitchen?
Typical entree service for two adults includes a customized menu of five entrees-four portions each, along with bread service, fresh salad greens and homemade dressing. Most entrees come with side dishes and all groceries and containers are included in the service price.
Okay Chef Randy, how much does it cost?
The standard 20 entree service (5 entrees-4 portions each) is priced at $345. Additional portions, gourmet, organic or difficult to find foods can be included--additional pricing individually determined. Most special diets can be accomodated at no additional charge. While I set the price--really only you can determine the cost , based on the value of the time and energy savings of those hours to you. Putting a professional in your kitchen can be well worth the price.
