INSPIRATION: "Last year after Hurricane Katrina, we had every desire to drop everything and volunteer to go cook for evacuees and victims, But our jobs dictated that we stay here and work. We felt helpless. We immediately started racking our brains to think of a way to help others in disaster situations, and decided that the only way to be able to do this was to work for ourselves, and do what we do best: COOK. So, after much planning and studying, we created Sweet & Savory Personal Chef Service. Next time a disaster happens in the United States, we will go help people survive the aftermath, & feed the people. We will pitch a food tent, & cook for hours and days on end, it is the least we could do.

CHEF TONYA : This 32 year old Chef is soon to be dropping out of corporate America and into the American Dream! Chef Tonya has a passion for pleasing the palettes of everyone she knows. She has this sweet, passionate, soulful southern style of cooking that was passed down from generations of Southern Belles including her mom, grandma, sister, and aunts, but don't let her southern charm fool you, she cooks many different styles of cuisine. Tonya loves to cook authentic mexican food and traditional cuisine as well!

CHEF SANDY:Chef Sandy bakes up the sweet side of this Sweet & Savory Duo. Born with a sweet tooth in her mouth, this 32 year old, self taught chef has long sinced polished and perfected her passion for creating mouth-watering, addictable, gourmet desserts. Chef Sandy is also leaving a corporate like job as a court clerk by jumping off that government ship into a sea of delicacies and deliciousness! This young lady never meets a stranger, and proudly serves handmade, gourmet desserts to everyone she knows.

PARTNERSHIP: After cooking together many times over the past several years, these two Southern gals have decided to put their heads together and create an awesome new business, accordingly named after their strengths, Sweet & Savory Personal Chef Service! Now, this plan didn't come together overnight, these girls have been cooking for families for years, and they are recent graduates of the Culinary Business Academy, members of the United States Personal Chef Association, and they are licensed and insured!! In August, Chef Sandy and Chef Tonya attended the 4-Day United States Personal Chef Association National Conference in St Louis, Missouri, to take many continuing education courses, including a ServSafe Class and cooking Caribbean Cuisine, of course that last one is just for fun.
