Chef Services 

The mission of Dinner by Design Personal Chef Service is to provide healthful, delicious dinner entrees and side dishes for busy people as well as those who have specific dietary requirements . Our goal is to solve the classic 'what's for dinner' question faced by many professional individuals, busy families, new Moms, senior citizens, and persons following particular diets.

Dinner by Design personalizes each menu of entrees and side dishes selections to your taste. You may choose from over 300 recipes! Our recipes are taken from the extensive library of the United States Personal Chef Association and include gourmet, classic, low-fat, vegetarian, and low sodium selections.

Here is how our service works: Dinner by Design will meet with you to plan your customized menu. Once a menu has been approved, a cooking day will be scheduled. On the scheduled cooking day, Stephanie will selectively shop for the groceries needed for your meals. She will arrive at your home with her kitchen utensils and prepare your meal selections. Once the food has been prepared, Stephanie will store the meals in the refrigerator and freezer leaving you with complete thawing and reheating instructions. She will leave the work area clean and smelling wonderful. Welcome home- dinner is ready! Our introductory special price of a two week (18-20 entree) selection for two persons is $220. This is a 20% savings for you! After the first service, the standard fee is $275.


About the Chef 

Stephanie Hunter lives in the Tuscany Hills area of Lake Elsinore, California with her husband and two sons. Like many busy families, hers was scheduled to the limit with work and activities for the children. Dinner became a rushed, and chaotic event, leading to a frustrating eating experience.

Looking for an answer, Stephanie became interested in cooking delicious, healthful meals that she could safely store and easily prepare in minutes at a later time. Since Stephanie has a passion for cooking, and values preservative free and non-processed foods, this task became an enjoyable and fulfilling project that immediately brought delicious, healthful rewards to her family.

Stephanie set out to make this gift of extra time in the evening, and quality healthful food choices through a personal chef service available to others. She joined the United States Personal Chef Association (USPCA) and became trained in culinary preparation, and the safe handling and storage of food. She receives ongoing professional training and mentorship from the USPCA.

Frequently Asked Questions 

Do you have to cook the food in my home?
Since it is a Health Department requirement, a personal chef must prepare your meals in your kitchen. In addition, we have found that clients appreciate the secuirty of knowing that their food was prepared in their own kitchen. This is also one of the convenient aspects of our very personal service that many clients value.

Do I have to use my own containers?
As part of your personal chef service, chef quality containers are used for the safe storage of your food. Our containers are freezer to oven or microwave safe, and the best around for providing the freshest tasting food from the freezer you have ever enjoyed! The containers are then disposable after each use.

Do I have to be home while you are cooking?
Stephanie Hunter is the personal chef and owner of Dinner by Design. She is the only employee with whom you will be dealing. She carries liability insurance, and can bring letters of reference to assure you that, as the business owner, she will protect your property as if it were her own.
