Rick Smith has been fascinated by food and food preparation since he was a child gathering around the kitchen table with his family. Over the years he has attended courses at various schools and colleges. He is a graduate of the U.S. Culinary Acadamy. Most recently he has owned an operated G.R.'s Island Grill and Kitchen Stock in Woodgrove Mall. Always looking for new directions and challenges Rick discovered the world of personal cheffery and became immediately entranced. He joined the U.S. and Canadian Chef associations and graduated from the Personal Chef Acadamy in Phoenix in January 2004. He now operates "As You Like It" Personal Chef Service in Nanaimo and area.
